Plantation Democrats

America has had a two party system since Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton had a difference of opinion in the earliest stage of our country's history, As a result, both parties are currently busy in New Hampshire, South Carolina and other states having primary elections to choose the best candidate for November of 2008. The Plantation Democrats are actively involved in this process.

STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION
OF THE PLANTATION DEMOCRATIC CLUB

There are standard bylaws indicating the club structure, and duties and responsibilities of all officers which are available on request.

Meetings are held on the third Sunday of the month at 4PM at the Hermitage Hall in the Plantation.

GOALS OF THE PLANTATION

DEMOCRATIC CLUB

In support of the national Democratic agenda, which follows, the Club seeks to achieve:

1.      Increased club membership

2.      Increased meeting attendance

3.      Initiate fundraising activities

4.      Stimulate issue awareness among Plantation Democrats

5.      Increased percent of Democratic registration

6.      Increased percent of Democratic vote in future elections

7.     Support national, state and county Democrats in 2008 and beyond.

Party Platform

The Democratic Party has a long and proud history of representing and protecting the interests of working Americans and guaranteeing personal liberties for all. One of the places we articulate our beliefs is in the Party's National Platform, adopted every four years by the Delegates at the National

The Democratic Party is committed to winning elections at every level in every part of the country. The ultimate goal? An active, effective group of Democrats organized in every single precinct in the country. .

Florida Democrats' Issues

Democrats have the ideas, the ethics and the focus to lead our state in the right direction. To build a better Florida, Democrats are fighting for affordable health care, better education, a strong economy that works for everyone, and real security.
