ASHLEY HALL: Located in the parking lot with outgoing drop box, and Activities bulletin
board.
P.A.L. WEST SECTION: Located at Laurel Valley Rd./Charlemagne
Drive with outgoing drop box, and Activities bulletin board.
· TRASH
COLLECTION: Tuesday and Friday. Recyclable
items are collected on Mon. or Tues. depending on your location. DO NOT PUT YOUR TRASH OUT BEFORE 5pm the night before collection.

BORROWING: folding tables & chairs - notify The Manor activities office of your request (none are available from other activities buildings)

POST: bulletin board with resident
sales and "wanted" items located at Activity Centers.

RENTAL LIST: Listings of available rental properties within The Plantation – at
Admin. office (see Barbara) and all Activity Centers. Rental List copy updated monthly on website RENTAL LIST Tab.
· PRIVATE PARTIES: Reserve time and date with any Activity Coordinator.
·
COPIES: Activities offices - personal/10cents per page, 5cents if Plantation Group/Village
·
GOLFING is arranged through the Pro Shop next to the Restaurant. A soda vending
machine is located at the starter's shack on Plantation View Drive.

RESTAURANT: Lunch & Dinner menu, features a bar, and indoor and outdoor seating.
·
VISITORS: Call security if you are expecting visitors – give your name
& security code, their name and expected time of arrival.
· TELEPHONES:
local calls only at phones located in activity center kitchens, and a copy of a monthly updated resident phone
list.

Sign up sheets for events/activities are located at The Manor, Ashley Hall, and Hermitage Hall outside the Activities Office. If the event happens in that building, the sign up sheet will be there. If there is a charge for the event - pay upon sign-up unless specified otherwise. Bring your checkbook.
· Tickets for events are sold at ALL Activitiy
Offices. Hermitage Hall takes payments for trips. The Manor sells "special" event tickets. Don’t wait until the last minute to purchase tickets.
When flyers are posted on bulletin boards, tickets are ready for sale.

Discount coupons are available online or check for availability at all activity centers.

NEWSLETTER – THE
PLANTATION TIMES
· Published monthly (delivered to your
door by neighborhood volunteers the first of the month). Notify The Manor Activities
office if you want it sent north during your absence- Provide self addressed stamped manilla envelope.
If you prefer to read it ONLINE and NO delivery: Submit the form at the bottom of
the Plantation Times page of the website.
· Contains calendar of events for all
activities, community news, plus court schedules.
· Some Plantation neighborhoods also publish their own newsletter about their events and add it
to their delivery area.
POPULAR ACTIVITIES TO MEET OTHER RESIDENTS
Covered Dish, Dances, Exercise Groups, Seminole Hard Rock Casino bus trips, Darts,
Billiards, Concerts, Ladies Lunch Bunch, Nature Society Outing, Neighborhood Meetings.
Check the Plantation Times calendar, CH. 20, Website (palhoa.com), and bulletin boards for details.
DANCES: Dress code - casual for most dances,
shorts are acceptable for men; after Labor Day most men wear slacks. Dressy Dances: Veteran’s, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s. Purchase tickets
early, capacity limited. Appropriate colors are worn for holidays.
Halloween - costume contest. B.Y.O.B.
Snacks are provided, but residents usually bring some of their own snacks to share.
SWIMMING POOLS – 7:30 am to 11 pm (Cleaning: Ashley-1st Thur, Manor -2nd Tues, Hermitage-3rd Mon.)

Hall: Olympic size pool with spa and restrooms. Aquacizing Mon., Wed., Fri. classes 8:45 am & 9:45 am; 5:15 - 6:15 pm; lap
swimming all day – please yield to aquacizers during their class times. Water
Volleyball Mens on Tuesday 1 - 3:30 p.m. & Mixed League on Friday 1 - 3:30
pm.

Manor: Pool with waterfall, loungers, spa, and restrooms. Shelter area with tables.
¨ Hermitage
Hall: small pool with total shaded & sun seating area, restrooms, and spa.
¨ Visitors using the pools need to read pool rules posted in pool restrooms.
Host must accompany
any visiting children under 16 yrs. old. Outside shower required to rinse off
oils before pool use.
No throwing, running, splashing, diving or jumping in the pools.
No one under 16 in spas.
