Glendale Village Meeting Minutes
July 19, 2010
Lorraine Tamboia- filled in for Joe who would be late to the meeting. Lorraine led the Pledge Of Allegiance
and introduced Mike & Rob.
Pledge of Allegiance
Guests-Mike & Rob from Valleycrest-Mike asked how the new mulch looks and a couple were missed
that had a flag and should be done, if you were missed and want mulch let Joe know. Mike will provide a schedule for fertilizer
and insect applications and sprinkler inspections so the residents are aware. Please water as your schedule states, rotors
for large yards should be 50-60 minutes and regular yard rotors should be 40-45 minutes the pop-up sprays 20 minutes. The
residents were asked to provide their address if they had questions on their lawn and Valleycrest would stop by. Rob stated
Valleycrest has done soil tests and has applied additional fertilizer and insect control applications. Rob stated the
lawns look much better but he is still not convinced they are headed in the right direction. They will be doing further tests
and meet with the board frequently to continue to improve the lawns even more. The bushes and shrubs are trimmed on a 6-week
rotation.
Vice President- Lorraine resumed with an update on Glendale’s foreclosures. The activities calendar
needs to be changed as follows: Bill Dixon is the chair of the nominating committee and needs volunteers to help with the
nominating committee. September the Intent to Run letters will go out with a return by date for November. In November
the 2011 budget will be presented and the candidates will have an opportunity to give a brief overview of their
reason to run. In December the vote for the candidates. For our delinquent report the foreclosed home in Ormond court
has new owners. A reminder that we have 3 homes in foreclosure and 1 is in the process of being purchased. The 3 homes in foreclosure, which the attorneys have, owe us $4,903.00.
The quarterly maintenance fees of $85.00 due July 1, some homes have not paid so reminder letters have been mailed totaling
$1,955.00. Some homeowners pay more than 3 months at a time, so our total outstanding owed is $3,812.00.
Treasurer-Tom Comis - Our total assets $51,615 which includes a $5,200.00 CD. This money can only be
spent on landscaping, maintenance and office support.
