Glendale Dues Policy - 2012
Based on the results of a village wide survey taken in May 2010,
we decided to place into effect annual household (not individual) dues of $20.00. This was effective January 2011.
We had a total of 62 households contribute to this Social Activities fund in 2011.
New residents who pay in the last quarter of the year will not be required
to pay again in the following year. A listing is kept of all residents who have paid the annual dues. Renters who are with
us six (6) months or longer can participate in the dues paying policy.
Any events which are subsidized with the fund will entitle a paid
resident (household member) to a lower cost. Residents who have not paid will be subject to the full cost of those events.
The guidelines are as follows:
Dues paid residents/households pay the subsidized cost. Their
guests pay the full cost.
Non-dues paid residents/households pay full cost, along with any
of their guests.
Cost will be determined during the planning of the events.
The “social Activities fund” is used to help defray
the cost of village events, decorations & printing costs. Other than the fund the only method of building a surplus is
via the 50/50 raffles held at the various events & at our quarterly community meetings. In order to continue events, subsidized
or otherwise, we need to continue to support/supplement the social activities fund in the coming year.
For new residents, or those unaware, we used some of our 2011
funds for a Glendale Brunch, supplies for our “After 4” get-togethers, food for the Oct 29 party, our upcoming
holiday party and we sponsored a “game day” for the Plantation Bear Club. We
spent approximately $70 for snacks, raffle items, etc., and were able to donate $719 to the Bear Club. We hope to again sponsor a game day for them this spring.
While the “Social Activities Dues” are not actually
due until January, you may submit your 2012 “Social Activities Dues” anytime from December, 2011 through March,
2012. Social Activity Dues can be paid to B.J. May, 3511 Mount Hope Loop, Carol Glaza,
