TAKING OFF POUNDS SENSIBLY

Obesity is one of the greatest causes of ill health in our country. For most people, it does not have to be. The majority of overweight people do not have a metabolism problem; we just do not eat right.

 

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) offers help for those of you who are overweight and truly wish to do something about it.  We do not require dieting or sell specially prepared and packaged cuisine. We do offer fellowship, encouragement, incentive and education to help you eat right.

 

We meet on Wednesday mornings at Hermitage Hall. Weigh in starts at 10:15am and the meeting starts at 10:30 AM.  If you’ve thought about coming but just couldn’t seem to get there, make it a point to set aside one Wednesday for a visit. No obligation, just come and see if we might be able to help.

TOPS Tip:

When ordering a pizza, add more vegetables – onions, broccoli, mushrooms, green pepper – and less cheese. If you want a meat topping, Canadian bacon has less fat than pepperoni or sausage.

Welcome to

TOPS FOR MEN

Because TOPS is a weight loss support group, we understand the challenges of losing weight. You'll find a warm, caring group of people in every MEN’S TOPS meeting. All sizes, all ages. We gather together weekly at Hermitage Hall on Wednesday at 10:15AM for private weigh-ins and interesting programs which start at 10:30AM in room 1.

KNOW THIS ABOUT MEN’S TOPS

At MEN’S TOPS, you will learn how to make permanent lifestyle changes. You'll discover how a positive attitude can help. You'll learn about nutrition and exercise. Most importantly, we'll honor your successes and provide encouragement when the struggle seems impossible. We want you to Take Off Pounds Sensibly.

HAVE FUN AT TOPS

We'll provide incentives, lively meetings, and materials to keep you going. You'll receive a membership magazine with lots of ideas. You can join us at motivational rallies, attend different workshops, even go on special retreats.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

You can get as involved as you like. Perhaps it's that private weekly weigh-in that keeps you on track. Then again, one hour a week could change your life, so staying for the program could be the key to help you reach your goal. Maybe it's the friends cheering you on or the extra support and caring you'll receive at TOPS. We offer you many opportunities to try new things. It's up to you.
