SHARING FROM RESIDENT EXPERIENCE:

Recently our power went out as I believe also happened to many here in the Plantation . Our air conditioning went out also. When I looked at our thermostat there was no readout visible. I tried to reset it but nothing worked. After a number calls to Honeywell and DelAir, I learned of a way to reset the thermostat without having to call DelAir and pay for an expensive service call.

I was told by a rep at DelAir to shut the A/C off at the box. In other words, turn the circuit breaker off at the box and wait 30 minutes before turning the circuit breaker back on. I did this and it worked! I reprogrammed the thermostat and within 5 minutes I had A/C.

I mention this because I understand a number of residents are calling DelAir and paying a lot of money for a service call because most don’t have contracts with DelAir. This simple piece of advice saved us from an expensive service call.

I have  recently installed an official  NOAA weather station.  This unit is certified with the government NOAA, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, and is located right here in the Plantation providing local weather information.  The unit is accessible 7/24 and provides both real time and historic weather information.  Information includes; temperature, humidly, rainfall, wind direction and speed, barometric pressure right here at the Plantation.   Tom Treptow

The station not only links to NOAA but also links via satellite to a number of other local weather stations located in the Leesburg area.  These stations can be accessed via:
