PEACEFUL PATHWAYS THRESHOLD SINGERS

A New Singing, Service and Support Opportunity:

Peaceful Pathways Threshold Singers is a non-denominational, collaborative group of women (although we will welcome men as well) who sing a cappella at bedside, by invitation, to people who can benefit from soothing, comforting music. We sing to people who are in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes,, and those in hospice care.( *Until Covid-19 is no longer a threat, we are not singing inside at the client facilities we serve.  We do sing outside to both clients and staff however.) When invited, we also sing to clients recovering from illness or surgery in their homes, as well as at funerals and celebration of life gatherings. Our mission is to bring, through the healing power of music, comfort and ease, strength, hope and support to our clients.

Peaceful Pathways Threshold Singers was formed in October 2019 as an offshoot of Threshold Choir of Leesburg, established in 2005. We are one of 250 chapters around the world of Threshold Choir International.

With compassionate hearts and voices, we sing gentle songs meant to touch the spirit, soothe the soul, quiet the mind, and calm the body. Our repertoire includes Threshold songs written by Threshold members, and “back-pocket” songs (chants, rounds, lullabies, popular music and classic oldies, spirituals, etc.)  sung with simple harmonies, as gentle and uplifting blessings, not as entertainment.

If you are interested in finding out more about our services, have a friend or family member who could benefit from our singing, or think you would like to join us in this musical ministry, please contact Toby Weber at 630-728-0823 (cell), for more information.  We rehearse every Thursday at Hermitage Hall at 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
